All of my newborn sessions are a lifestyle, which simply means the focuses on your natural connection to the family. While I provide posing guidance to catch pretty light and settings possible, I don’t physically post the baby or use any props. Instead storytelling style allows you to be fully present in the moment, soaking it all in.

A lifestyle newborn session might be right for you if:

… You desire natural, candid moments documented during this sweet season

… You want posing guidance

… Real, authentic moments that make you feel are high on your list

You’re seeking a minimalist approach that focuses on connections

You’re looking for a 1-1/2 hour session or less, post newborn sessions take longer, sometimes up to 3–4 hours to get baby deeply asleep at each post.

These sessions don't include:

…Traditional post newborn photos that include must have sleeping babies, (it is okay if baby is awake!) props and specific outfits.

… providing any props, since I focus on the documentary side, I will not be putting your baby in any baskets blankets or bowls.

… Specific outfits, hats or at accessories. Instead baby will stay cozy in a swaddle, onesie or other outfit that he or she will actually wear at home. If you would like baby to be in a wrap and hat that is something you would provide. I recommend keeping a neutral to really capture baby sweet features)

Where does the session take place?

lifestyle newborn sessions take place at your own home. In-home newborn sessions are just how they sound – all of the photos are taken in your own home, typically involving babies nursery or your living room. They are meant to capture live in your home as it is in this moment: Full of excitement, joy and so much love.

When should I book a session?

I recommend booking at the beginning of your second trimester. Newborn sessions take place under two weeks after the baby has been born. You will book based on your due date, and then once baby arrives, we will simply coordinate your official session date and time.
